I think the rooms are now showing their age a bit. Although room
was reasonably clean they seem to have a problem getting into the
corners in the bathroom. Towels were a bit worn no longer brilliant
white and resembling cardboard. Not enough storage for clothing (we
were there for 14 nights. If room sleeps 4 why do you only get 2 dining
chairs? Folding bed was a bit stiff to open and fold away. |

Good point - near pool Bad point - but you can't walk out of room
and get to pool directly due to planted area outside patio door. |

WDW Transportation Comments:
|
We were lucky and never had to wait more than a few minutes for
the whole 2 weeks for any destination except one evening when we wanted
to go to Downtown Disney when we gave up and went to the ESPN after
waiting more than 30 minutes. overall 9.5 out of 10. The bus drivers
seem to have lost their rapport with the guests this time. We didn't
really have any bus drivers asking the whole bus if "We'd had a good
time today". We also didn't get any snippets of information about
WDW off the drivers, as has happened in the past. |
Restaurant / Lounge Review:
|
Only dined at the ESPN, food and service Excellent. |
Pool Description / Comments:
|
Fun pool is excellent. Slide is due a serious lick of paint which
I believe it will be getting in the near future. Fingers crossed.
Although when people leave the area I wish they'd remove their towels
from the loungers and chairs. Too many of these are left with towels
on and nobody dare use them in case someone returns. But I noticed
several where no one returned to them after two hours. |
What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This
Resort?
|
As the pool cannot be accessed directly from your room. I do not
feel it worth the extra points for the privilege of being by the pool.
The pool is open 24 hours and can be a little noisy even past midnight.
Valet parking is no longer free to all. It now costs $6. Still free
if you are a DVC member. |

Overall we were very happy with our two weeks at BWV. However we
have a few of moans. Our next door neighbors were very noisy most
nights. TV on loud children screaming and shouting at 1am. Something
we did report to front desk and they did get told, but they didn't
take much notice to be honest. At least they weren't there for the
full 2 weeks. Do all the rooms have the link door as sound passes
through these like tissue paper. I left a hat outside the room on
one of the chairs over night to dry and in the morning it had disappeared
although the other clothes remained. I thought that the Villas were
for DVC members only and Inn were for paying guests this is obviously
not the case. The carpet in the corridors had seen better days. Items
bought in the theme parks are no longer delivered to the room. They
are delivered to the store on the Boardwalk, bit of a nuisance this
as you have to wait in line at the till then prove your identity to
collect packages. What was wrong with the old system? It is not possible
to by a souvenir mug and get free drinks for the rest of the vacation.
Why is this? You can at All Star Resorts and even at GF, so why not
BWV I wonder. The shop is also expensive for groceries. You can, if
you want nip over to the Gas Station across the road and by milk,
sodas etc much cheaper, about 50% less. We liked the close proximity
to Epcot and MGM both of which could be walked to (less so MGM but
it is possible). Dolphin Hotel round the corner offers self service
dining with real crockery and cutlery! 20% discount for DVC members.
We went there a lot for breakfast. Car rental available from Dolphin
Resort - much cheaper if you are staying on World but you have to
ask for the discount. BWV currently undergoing extensive renovation
but it was not a problem for us. If you are a DVC member and like
us stay for 2 weeks buy annual passes and return inside 12 months
it saves a fortune and get other privileges and discounts. |
