Accommodations Review:

We thoroughly enjoyed the CBR. We had a huge king room that had been recently re-carpeted. Housekeeping responded quickly to any requests we had, and the CMs were very helpful. Even though this is a large spread-out resort, we never felt that there were over 2,000 rooms full of people. We would definitely stay here again!

Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?

My husband had always wanted to stay here. He loved the tropical themeing and the "pirate theme" of the main pool. Plus this trip was on a limited budget, so a deluxe was not in our price range this time.

Room # and Location Description:

3540 -- Trinidad South, building 35, second floor, river view

Room Location Pros & Cons:

We were a bit of a walk from the food court, but we had a rental car so it wasn't a big deal. We were right by the quiet pool, and had a beautiful view of the river through the trees.

Check-In / Check-Out Comments:

We checked in at 2:30 a.m., so needless to say there was no wait. We had arranged for express check-out, but we wanted to leave before the bill was posted, so we stopped by Custom House and had our printout in about 3 minutes.

WDW Transportation Comments:

We had a rental car, which we used most of the time. When we did use WDW transportation, we had minimal waits.

Restaurant / Lounge Review:

The CMs in the food court were always friendly. They were especially helpful to my husband one evening very late (about 10 minutes before closing) as he was trying to find some bland food for his sick, pregnant wife.

Pool Description / Comments:

The main pool seemed busy even on cooler days. Even though one of our reasons for staying at CBR was the themeing of the main pool, we spent our time at the quiet pool, which was much more convenient to our room. We had our choice of tables or lounges at the quiet pool.

What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This Resort?

We really enjoyed this resort, and would highly recommend it. I would guess that check-in and check-out can get rather busy, so aim for the off-times for registration, and utilize express check-out. If location is important, request a room nearer the food court, but be prepared for a lot of walking.

Other Comments:

We were worried because of some negative reports on the Internet, but this was a wonderful choice. No complaints at all.
