Accommodations Review:

Very attractive little villages-we stayed in Jamaica. Inside of the room was in major need of refurbishment. Old TV, older air conditioner and an even older carpet. Disappointed in look and feel of room considering how much you pay above a value resort.

Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?

Heard wonderful things about CBR. Including beautiful scenery-which it was. A wonderful lake, an island and small walkways. The look of the resort was very nice and relaxing.

Room # and Location Description:

Room 4643 in the Jamaica section, second floor, view of trees, and parking lot. Outside of the Jamaica villages were painted in yellow and baby blue. Very fresh and attractive. I liked it better than some of the other villages that were bright oranges and reds.

Room Location Pros & Cons:

Jamaica was directly in front of the bridge over Parrot Cay to the main buildings of Old Port Royale. But it was a walk! No quick runs for a soda in refillable mugs! But had a very nice quiet pool and just a minute from the bus stop. As opposed to buildings in Jamaica such as #44 and #47 which were a bit farther away from the bus stop.

Check-In / Check-Out Comments:

Fast check in, efficient bell service! Thank goodness we didn't need to go to that building til the end of our stay--it's miles!!!

WDW Transportation Comments:

WDW transportation is great! The buses left so often and filled them up quickly. My only complaint would be for villages that were picked up towards the end, Martinique or Trinidad for example. Jamaica was picked up 1st but often during such a busy season, the bus to Magic Kingdom for example was full before it got to another village. And the bus would drive by and they would have to wait for another. Otherwise, fast, efficient and worry free.

Restaurant / Lounge Review:

OPR food court was pretty good. Decent pizzas, pastries, snacks and even pastas. However, Captain's Tavern, the only sit down was gross and over priced food court meals.

Pool Description / Comments:

The themed pool was attractive but too small to accommodate all the kids that want to play in the "fun" pool instead of the quiet pools in each village.

What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This Resort?

Consider Jamaica if you don't mind a short walk to the food court! If you want to be close to the food court or the action of the resort, stay in Martinique or Trinidad North. And be aware of where the buses start and finish. This whole summer 2000 they picked up Jamaica first and dropped them off first (at the end of a long day that was important!). We noticed people at further stops walking to ours to save time or not get stuck standing!
