Caribbean Beach Resort

Rate / Night (for your stay):

$100 per night

Date(s) of Stay:

Oct. 30 to Nov. 5, 2000

Accommodation Used:

Standard Room / Studio

Accommodations Review:

I liked the rooms. They don't appear to have all been renovated like I thought, but they are in good shape.

Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?

Because it had the largest rooms of any the moderates. I have 3 children and needed a larger room than the other moderates offered.

Room # and Location Description:

3607 in Trinidad South.

Room Location Pros & Cons:

I wish we had been closer to the food court at Old Port Royale, however, I do believe our location was quieter than the rooms closer to the food court.

Check-In / Check-Out Comments:

Check-In was on a Monday morning so I assumed it wouldn't be too bad. Wrong. The line was long, but at least there were 4 Cast Members checking people in. Check-Out only took 5 minutes.

WDW Transportation Comments:

The buses were great and a couple of the drivers we had were very entertaining on the rides to the parks. We only had problems getting one bus, and that was for Downtown Disney at 8:00 PM. We had to wait for 30 minutes both times that we went to Downtown Disney. I thought that was a little high from what I have read on the various sites I checked for Walt Disney Information.

Restaurant / Lounge Review:

The pizza in the food court at Old Port Royale was some of the best I have ever had. The Turkey Dinner I had from the food court was definitely not Mom's.

Pool Description / Comments:

I like the central pool and my sons really enjoyed it. We spent the entire afternoon that we were leaving there sunning and playing. It definitely gets crowded though, and if you move from your lounge chair and don't leave anything on it, you WILL LOSE your lounger.

What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This Resort?

It is a very nice resort for the value. The service by the Cast Members was great. There are very friendly and accommodating.
