Caribbean Beach Resort

Reviewer's Name:

Rate / Night (for your stay):

$140

Date(s) of Stay:

January 14 - 21, 2000

Accommodation Used:

Standard Room / Studio

Accommodations Review:

It served its purpose, but next time I take kids I would prefer a bedroom instead of being in the same room.

Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?

Moderate rate and seclusion from all other hotels were my main reasons for staying there.

Room # and Location Description:

We stayed in building 16 (Barbados) in room 1614.

Room Location Pros & Cons:

Pros: Really close to the bus stop with the ice and snack machines two doors down.

Cons: Not a water view or pool view. Fair walk to the Old Port Royale (Eatery).

Check-In / Check-Out Comments:

Check in was very orderly for the people that were there. When you show up at the hotel they take your luggage to the van to wait for you and drive you to the door of you room when finished. We had no check out as I put all the extras on my credit card to avoid the lines and your room keys are souvenirs that you get to keep.

WDW Transportation Comments:

It was easy and accessible for those that do not want to drive. Convenient and frequent with fast service and great drivers.

Restaurant / Lounge Review:

Oranges do not belong in Cole Slaw. They need more of a variety in the food court. They should be introduced to Canadian pizza, with bacon, pepperoni and cheese.

Pool Description / Comments:

There were six pools available around the resort, so they were never packed. The main pool was closed for renovations at the time that we were there. Alright with me, too cool to swim anyways.

What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This Resort?

It is very quiet and secluded with a pool in every village. Makes it nice for quiet swims as most use the Main pool area. Great for people who love to walk (as I do), there is plenty of space and scenic routes to enjoy. I love the resort and am staying there again January 2001.

Other Comments:

All-in-all, it was a 9 out of 10 in my books. The only improvement needed is the food. The park was beautiful and there was plenty of nature through the resort.
