Accommodations Review:

We loved it. We had a Magic Kingdom view, 6th floor disabled accessible room. My disabled friend was pleased with the bathroom facilities. There was a pull down seat in the shower and a sliding door on the bathroom. The corner was tight rolling out of the bathroom in the wheelchair and the room door was heavy, but those were minor things. It worked great for us and we had plenty of room and a nice view. We did not hear any noise from the monorail or the restaurants and shops while in the room. The accessibility to the monorail, shops, restaurants and elevator were great. The staff at the Contemporary were also wonderful. I had a complaint about the dryers in the laundry room and was refunded my money immediately. It was a very enjoyable stay. The marina staff called a wheelchair accessible boat specially for us. This boat doesn't normally stop at the Contemporary dock, but they did for us and we took a wonderful boat ride around Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon at no charge.

Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?

Location and monorail into the hotel and Tower room.

Room # and Location Description:

#4237, 6th floor of the Tower with Magic Kingdom view.

Room Location Pros & Cons:

We wanted a higher floor, but because of the accessibility need, were told it wasn't an option. We loved it there.

Check-In / Check-Out Comments:

Very fast.

WDW Transportation Comments:

Everywhere we wanted to go, we found an accessible bus, boat or monorail waiting or one came within 5-10 minutes. Park attendance was down 30% according to several cast member surveys.

Restaurant / Lounge Review:

We enjoyed a nice dinner and breakfast at the Concourse Steakhouse. We didn't go to the California Grill because we had the same view from our room. We chose to go to other nice places. The Food and Fun Center was great for a snack and soda and coffee with the refillable mugs. The Fun Center had some great games for us to enjoy.

Pool Description / Comments:

It looked beautiful, but we did not swim.

What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This Resort?

Enjoy the location and convenience of the Contemporary. It is a marvelous place to stay. We really enjoyed having dinner at Ohana and the Kona Cafe at the Polynesian Resort and then hopping on the monorail to come 'home' to the Contemporary. Getting off the monorail and going right up the elevator to our room was very convenient. Because we had a Tower room, it was another nice perk to have quick access to the refillable mug beverages.
