Accommodations Review:
|
Since we spent very little time in the room, the accommodations
were fine. Having an 18 month old toddler with us, being on the
first floor of the north garden wing had us close to the snack
bar (very important), the bus stop, and the monorail. |
Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?
|
LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. With the 18 month old, we knew we'd
spend most of our time at the MK, and we did. Since we were relying
on Disney transportation, we wanted it to be as convenient as
possible (and what better then being 1 stop away via Monorail
(from the MK)). |

Room Location Pros & Cons:
|
A little noisy as there was foot traffic above and outside.
Easier for us to get around with the 18 month old being on the
first floor. Fair view of Bay Lake (and the Electric Water Pageant). |
Check-In / Check-Out Comments:
|
No problems. |
WDW Transportation Comments:
|
Our son became ill (you know, one of those quick onset infant
things....vomiting, fever, et al) as soon as we walked into EPCOT.
Not only did they get us private transportation back to the room
(door to door!), they even issued us a free pass for the day that
we "wasted" on our Hopper passes! Great customer service! |
Restaurant / Lounge Review:
|
Ate at the Snack Bar and at Mickey's Kitchen (in fact, those
two places took care of about 75% of all of our meals). LOVED
the free refill mugs (must have 4-5 *PER DAY/PER MUG*). 24 hour
snack bar made the trip possible (4 AM MILK run.....) |

What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering
This Resort?
|
Definitely try to get a discount (we got a 30% MK discount).
Tower rooms are nicer in that they have a view (did this in 1994
on our Honeymoon), but it is a nice place to stay (in any room).
Not as themed as some of the resorts --- but then it is supposed
to reflect a somewhat cold/steely Tomorrowland..... |

As one of the original resorts at WDW, the Contemporary remains
one of my personal favorites. It's a thrill to enter via the Monorail,
and the views of the MK are wonderful from the tower. Good food
(California Grill, Mickey's Kitchen, Contemporary. Steakhouse),
nice amenities. |
