Accommodations Review:

Tower Club room, Magic Kingdom view, great view of fantasy in the
sky and Electric Water Pageant as well as Polynesian and Grand Floridian
resorts.
Good service, complimentary breakfast in the morning and snacks
in afternoon, good room, comfy bed, for some reason no bathtub,
only shower (I believe it was a handicapped room) strange paint
and weird lamps, otherwise fabulous and large room.
Turndown service was a nice touch.

Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?
|
Always wanted to stay here since I was a little kid seeing the picture
of the monorail going through it. (The strongest, most unique
asset of this hotel in my opinion.) |
Room # and Location Description:
|
Tower club room on 12th floor, MK view. |
Room Location Pros & Cons:
|
Great view, you have to learn to use your room key to get to your
floor on the elevator, the only real asset of tower club service is
the breakfast, didn't use midday snack much cause we were not there
on time. |
Check-In / Check-Out Comments:
|
Since it was our 1st WDW trip, it was a long yet entertaining and
informative check-in. Used express check-out which was great,
no problems with the bill. putting the check card for purchases on
the room key was easy and fabulous. real super fast elevators!!!!!!!!!! |
WDW Transportation Comments:
|
Monorail was great and fun. Easy access to MK, and Epcot.
Had to wait a little for bus to Downtown Disney and Animal Kingdom.
Fast bus service to Studios and Blizzard Beach. Long wait from
Blizzard Beach back to hotel however. |
Restaurant / Lounge Review:
|
Chef Mickey's was unique. Good way to see major Disney characters.
Good chicken and great dessert, nice ice cream bar. Peel and
eat shrimp was good too. Food 'n' Fun center was fine, take
note that the grill closes around 10pm and the drinks and snacks are
open 24 hours. I recommend the refillable mugs, (made great
use of them) also the cheese fries are great but probably very fattening.
Did not dine at concourse steakhouse or California Grill. |
Pool Description / Comments:
|
Good large pool with waterslide, the only problem was that slide
hours were unclear (it closed anywhere from 6pm to 8pm nightly) so
we never got to use the waterslide, great whirlpools and warmer quiet
pool that was very nice and romantic. It has a great marina
and i highly recommend the mouse boats (1/2 hour rental which was
included as a flex feature) for a scenic and gorgeous trip around
bay lake and seven seas lagoon, it was fun speeding around discovery
island! |
What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This
Resort?
|
Take note of pool life guard hours if you want to use the waterslide.
The Laundromats are in the wing buildings not in the tower.
It is quicker to walk to the mk, but taking the monorail or riding
a boat from Wilderness Lodge are more dramatic arrivals. Full
concierge service is apparently more all encompassing than tower club
service. |
