Accommodations Review:

Excellent! I loved the room and so did my 18 year old son. Plenty of space.  We were in a newly renovated room and we had a ton of drawer space and a huge table as well as two queen beds and a day bed. I asked for and got south wing non-smoking, second floor. Our room was way at the end which was perfect for three adults.  The walk back to the lobby wasn't that bad. Our view was of the parking lot and the monorail.  But we could see the Magic Kingdom fireworks off to the right.

Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?

We had an unexpected extra two days and needed something. Plus, I always wanted to stay here.

Room # and Location Description:

#5252 in the south wing all the way at the end of the wing. We were a room away from a water view.

Room Location Pros & Cons:

LOVED it. We were three adults and needed something away from the kids. This did it. Our view was of the parking lot but also of the monorail coming and going. The walk wasn't that bad even though we were at the far reaches of the wings. If you want something for adults, this is great.

Check-In / Check-Out Comments:

An awful lot of people checking in right at noon. But we were in and out of there within ten minutes. The check-in CM got us as close to the water as she could. Check - out not a hassle with express. We had paid the entire balance in full and our total was $0. Good feeling for leaving Disney property!

WDW Transportation Comments:

Used the monorail to go to the Polynesian and to Epcot. Great service.  Used the small boats to go over to Fort Wilderness from Magic Kingdom and then back to the Contemporary. Efficient. Walked to Magic Kingdom. Didn't use the buses at all.

Restaurant / Lounge Review:

Ate a quick meal at the Food and Fun Center. Decent burgers and small pizzas. The fries were great - not the fat ones they serve other places but thinner ones. And we did Chef Mickey's for breakfast since we had a one year old with us at the time. Only do this if you have kids or really like kids. Concourse Steakhouse (which I've done for breakfast and lunch) is a much more adult place (read, quiet).

Pool Description / Comments:

Did not use the pool although we would have liked to. Florida storms interfered with those plans.

What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This Resort?

Don't worry about getting a tower view. Our "parking lot" view had a great sight of the entire Magic Kingdom fireworks from our window. And then the next night we went to the marina and saw the fireworks again and the Electric Water Pageant right after that.  They actually waited until after the MK fireworks to go off. Any room is a good room.

Other Comments:

This is my new favorite resort. If I could take these rooms and put them over in the Epcot resort area, I'd be very, very happy.
