Standard Room / Studio

Accommodations Review:

The room was average and on par with the other moderate resorts at WDW. As I read in other reviews, there was one stain on the carpet but that was not enough for me to trash the accommodations. They were satisfactory plus we spent little time in the room.

Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?

I have stayed at all-star music and Caribbean Beach and wanted to sample another moderate resort. Plus the theming of the feature pool was particularly attractive for this adult-only trip.

Room # and Location Description:

Building 9B, room 9527

Room Location Pros & Cons:

Pros: very close to the main building (el centro), bus stop #1, the main pool (the dig) Cons: none

Check-In / Check-Out Comments:

We arrived at around 9:30am and the line was only about three people long, maybe it was because it was right after labor day, but check out was just as convenient.

WDW Transportation Comments:

The system worked fine, there was one occasion when we wanted to get to Animal Kingdom and the wait felt longer than it should have been. However I must applaud the bus drivers, I wanted to go to the gift shop at Caribbean Beach one night and since I was the only passenger on the bus, the driver took me straight there instead of forcing me to go to Downtown Disney and transferring to a Caribbean Beach bus- talk about going out of his way to help a guest out!

Restaurant / Lounge Review:

Not applicable - we ate at the parks and at Downtown Disney.

Pool Description / Comments:

Loved the feature pool - the dig. We got there early our second morning and enjoyed the pool pretty much to ourselves. Since it was right after labor day, there wasn't too many kids around. Once the lifeguards showed up and turned on the fountain and the waterfall at the top of the temple, the scene was picturesque. Which was evidenced by the fact that everyone, including myself pulled out cameras to take pictures of friends and families at the foot of the temple.

What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This Resort?

Definitely go for building 9B. It is very convenient. Make sure that you make time to head to The Dig.

Other Comments:

Coronado Springs is a fine resort, and the post labor day time period is great for adults- fewer kids, shorter lines and great weather. My only complaint about the resort was the blue paint on the centro, it felt more "it's a small worldish" versus southwestern, otherwise loved the facilities and the lake behind the centro was very beautiful.
