Accommodations Review:

Outstanding.  So much better than Port Orleans Riverside in atmosphere, decoration, and food. The pool and playground area are amazing-as good as an luxury resort Disney operates. The Jaguar Slide at the pool was my six year old son's favorite part of the Disney vacation-he must have gone up and down twenty times.

Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?

On-line photos appealed to me and the MKC rate was very good. Also, I have stayed at all the other Moderate resorts and would not return.

Room # and Location Description:

Cabanas 9-B-perfect location! Not more than a five minute walk to everything, and very peaceful.

Room Location Pros & Cons:

As stated above, the Cabanas are the perfect location and very close to everything.

Check-In / Check-Out Comments:

Check in was great-we arrived at 10:00 am and although our room preference was not ready, other rooms were and we were given the option of taking another room or waiting for Cabana 9B. We decided to wait, and while taking care of some business at Guest Services ten minutes later, the room became available and we were in it by 10:30 am. Check-out was a little more difficult due to the wrong credit card being charged for the room charges, but it was taken care of promptly.

WDW Transportation Comments:

Again, excellent! Never waited more than five-ten minutes for a bus anywhere. Soooo much better than Port Orleans Riverside!

Restaurant / Lounge Review:

The Pepper Market was very good, and the set up is far superior to the other food courts. Why don't the other resorts adopt this-it makes so much sense to be able to eat your meal while it is hot and then pay rather than wait to pay before. We had breakfast at the Maya Grill and although it was a little pricey (more expensive than the character breakfasts and not as much selection) the quality and atmosphere was very good.

Pool Description / Comments:

Amazing-it has to be seen to be believed. A replica Mayan pyramid with a water slide that spits water from a Jaguar-basically a child's delight. Armed with a lifejacket (available for no cost at the pool area) even small children can enjoy the slide. The adjacent playground is also great, with swings, sand pit, and a soft mat surface that is very safe.

What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This Resort?

In my opinion, the best Moderate, by far. I would not be put off by the notion that this is a "business hotel"-if anything, this lent an air of professionalism to the staff that I did not encounter at the other Moderates.

Other Comments:

For the money, one of the best values on Disney property.
