Accommodations Review:
|
Nice moderate resort. No problems with housekeeping and any
requests were met quickly. Note that some people like to have
two sinks in the room; Coronado is the only moderate with one
sink. It's also the only one with a coffee maker and hair dryer
provided, I think. |
Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?
|
My friend chose it because she heard it had an interesting pool. |
Room # and Location Description:
|
Room 9624, second floor of Cabanas 9B |
Room Location Pros & Cons:
|
Pros: Corner room with 2 windows, centrally located in building,
near main buildings, pool and Bus Stop 1. Cons: Not a water view
room, BUT - behind this building there are ponds frequented by
herons and ducks. The only signs of traffic are the Disney and
Mears buses pulling around the curve into the driveway. No traffic
noise. |
Check-In / Check-Out Comments:
|
Rapid check-in; VERY delayed arrival of 1 person in party was
handled with no problem. |
WDW Transportation Comments:
|
Buses to all parks ran quickly. Buses to Typhoon Lagoon/Downtown
Disney are slow because of all the stops necessary. The direct
Boardwalk bus is great for getting back from Epcot - no need to
traverse the park after Illuminations! |
Restaurant / Lounge Review:
|
Pepper Market: Decent food, service good. No problem with 10%
auto gratuity. Mug refilling allowed with no waiting. Maya Grill:
Good, and expensive! The food is spicy. There's a large bar in
the main building between pepper market and the convention hall. |
Pool Description / Comments:
|
I love this pool! It is wide but not deep enough for diving.
The scenery is great. Doesn't seem crowded even when it is. Water
slide, kids' pool and huge hot tub for soaking feet after long
days in the parks. You can refill your mugs at the pool snack
bar. |
What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering
This Resort?
|
Do some research (resort
maps are available online) and decide which section you want
to stay in, then fax the room controller 5 days out and request
a building. (Disney won't guarantee requests.) |
Other Comments:
|
There are two stores: Panchitos general store and a small food
store next to the Pepper Market. If you need anything, these stores
will likely have it (for a price.) |
