$89 (98.79 inc/tax)

Date(s) of Stay:

9/23/00 - 9/28/00

Accommodation Used:

Standard Room / Studio

Accommodations Review:

Very nice. The room size is fairly standard. I don't think it was much bigger (if at all) than the All Stars.

Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?

I wanted to try a moderate resort (rather than a value). I had visited Coronado Springs on a previous trip and found it to be very nice. When an AP rate became available, I decided to stay here.

Room # and Location Description:

8683 - Cabanas 8B. This room was a corner room (two windows) on the second floor on the parking lot side of the building.

Room Location Pros & Cons:

Very good location. One minute walk to Bus Stop #3. Right next to quiet pool and guest laundry. Very near white sand beach with hammocks. Two minute walk from main pool (Dig Site) and about a five minute walk from El Centro (main building). I was very pleased with the room location.

Check-In / Check-Out Comments:

No wait at checkin since we did it early in the day. We had express checkout which worked well for us.

WDW Transportation Comments:

We took the bus about 2/3 of the time and the rest of the time we drove. There were minimal waits for all buses. Coming back to the resort after Illuminations and Fantasmic was no problem at all. Buses were not crowded at all.

Restaurant / Lounge Review:

We ate at the Pepper Market for four breakfasts. I like the system they have with payment on the way out.

Pool Description / Comments:

The pools were great. I used both the quiet pool and the main pool. I also used the hot tub (which is huge).

What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This Resort?

If you are not part of the convention going on at the resort, request Cabanas or Ranchos. These are smaller buildings (2 or 3 stories).

Other Comments:

Prior to my trip I had heard both positive and negative comments about Coronado Springs. Many of the negative comments had to do with conventions. There was absolutely no impact from the convention at all. We saw some people with nametags and we saw some signage in the lobby but other than that, no impact. I would definitely stay at Coronado Springs again. I loved the atmosphere.
