Accommodations Review:

We stayed in cabana 8B. The room was a typical room with 2 dbl beds, bathroom & vanity. I was especially impressed with the decor of the room. My wife was so impressed with the multicolor shower curtain and bathroom decor that she wants to do a bathroom in our house like it.

Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?

My wife has been to WDW nearly every year of her life. This was one resort that she had not been to. I was also looking for something with a unique theme.

Room # and Location Description:

Cabana 8B, 2nd floor, 8680

Room Location Pros & Cons:

Pros: The cabanas have fewer people per building than the ranchos or casitas, so there is less noise. The cabanas also have a sandy beach with hammocks which is one of our favorite places to relax. Our room was located within a reasonable proximity to the pool, the main area, and bus stop 4. Cons: Room 8680 is located near the AC unit, so a humming noise was always in the background.

Check-In / Check-Out Comments:

We arrived at 12:00 noon, and check in went smoothly. Our requested refrigerator did not arrive until 3:00 however. Express checkout was good.

WDW Transportation Comments:

Busses are the only way to get anywhere, so patience is the key. Everything was pretty much on schedule, about 20 minutes between busses. The Downtown Disney bus also stops at Boardwalk and Typhoon Lagoon, so you need to keep this in mind when going there. Our only complaint about the CS bus is when we left a park at the end of the day. It seemed all of the other resorts' busses were there right at park closing, but the CS bus was always about 10 minutes later. Several of the more busy resorts had two busses at park closing before we got our first bus.

Restaurant / Lounge Review:

Pepper Market is outstanding! We ate there at least once a day. I really liked the way you got your card stamped with whatever food you chose from the food court.

Pool Description / Comments:

We loved the pyramid and Jaguar Slide. The pyramid just accentuates the outstanding theming of this resort. The pool is larger than some at other resorts we visited too.

What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This Resort?

If you like unique theming, then this is the place. If bright colors in odd patterns is not you, then you should consider someplace else.

Other Comments:

I have one key observation to take into consideration when reading this review. The crowd level was down noticeably after the NYC event. I expected smaller crowds for the season, but it was even less than that! I don't mean to take anything away from the service we received, but the smaller crowds may have made things easier for us.
