Accommodations Review:

Well, my girlfriend and I did things a little differently.  We flew into Orlando and brought our tent.  We used Mears Transportation (which I can not recommend) as they were very confused and crowded) and set up camp.  The thing I would advise, is to plan carefully.  This is true for any vacation, but very, very important for campers.  We, of course, could have planned much better, but we still had a great time.

Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?

Cost.  With the amount we spent, we could have either had a 3 night stay in a hotel or spend the week at the campground.  We chose to spend the week.

Room # and Location Description:

Loop 700. From what I gathered all sites are very nice.  I doubt you will ever find a campground so well cared for.  You could go there, not visiting any of the parks, and have a great time.

Room Location Pros & Cons:

The only con I would give is the peacocks who crow very loudly and very early in the morning.  There are so many pros, but I think the best thing is that even though we were tent guests in the cheapest spot at WDW, we were treated with all the class and respect that any other guest would receive.

Check-In / Check-Out Comments:

Check-in at 3:00pm, Check-out at 11:00am.

WDW Transportation Comments:

Wow! It was so easy to get anywhere in WDW.  Plus ,we always had a different form of transportation to each park.

Restaurant / Lounge Review:

Trails End was better for a late night drink than it was for breakfast.  Not that breakfast was bad, just plain.  This is not the best restaurant in WDW, but it is nice.  Wilderness Lodge is very close, with much better selections.

Pool Description / Comments:

Great pool, not fancy like some of the other resorts, but open 24 hours which, after a long day walking in the hot sun, hit the spot.  We found, as tent campers, there was not much to do late at night, as we had no lights or entertainment, so the pool was a welcome escape.

What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This Resort?

If you are big on camping, then this obviously is a great choice.  But if you are on a budget, and can sleep on an inflatable bed, then this is the only way to go.  We could have stayed off-site, but then we would have had to shuttle back and forth, plus we would not have been WDW guests, with all the great things that come with that.

Other Comments:

If you are a night owl, and don't want to fight the crowds at Downtown Disney, visit Disney's Boardwalk.  There are a few late night venues there, including Jellyrolls, a dueling piano bar.  It's great fun, and open until 2:00am!  Just don't miss the last bus.
