Accommodations Review:
|
This was by far the nicest Disney property at which I've stayed.
We found it to be quiet, which was a nice alternative to the hustle
& bustle of the parks. The room & grounds were immaculate,
and you really got the feeling of being at a villa in the Florida
Keys! We loved it!! |
Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?
|
We needed a larger unit for our group (mom, dad, grandmom &
2 kids), and also wanted a full kitchen. |
Room # and Location Description:
|
Unit 3021: 2-bedroom villa, third floor, overlooking golf course
and pool. You can see some of the Illuminations fireworks (EPCOT)
from the front balcony! |
Room Location Pros & Cons:
|
Pros: Nice & quiet, close to Millers Road bus stop and a quiet
pool. Cons: relatively far away from the main area - Olivia's restaurant,
General Store, Good's Food to Go, etc. |
Check-In / Check-Out Comments:
|
Check-in was very quick & efficient. Express check-out required
no time whatsoever; an itemized receipt appeared on our door on our
departure day! Anything charged to our room the rest of the day would
be billed to the credit card and another itemized receipt would be
mailed to us! |
WDW Transportation Comments:
|
No problems... although Old Key West has several stops throughout
the complex. Our stop (Millers Road) was the last pickup before heading
to the resorts, but when we were returning to OKW, we had to make
several stops (even if we were the only ones on the bus). |
Restaurant / Lounge Review:
|
Olivia's restaurant was very nice - service, food & atmosphere.
The Pooh & Friends Character B-Fast was very nice, because the
restaurant wasn't crowded (even though it was Easter Week) and the
characters spent lots of time with my children! |
Pool Description / Comments:
|
We only visited the pool near our villa, which was one of the "quiet"
pools. It was very clean, there were ample chairs & towels available.
One evening we walked to the "main" pool, which is much larger and
has a larger children's play area, but found it to be too crowded
(no chairs available and lots of splashing in the pool). |
What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This
Resort?
|
If you're looking for some quality "down time" and relaxation between
theme parks during your Disney vacation, Old Key West is the place
for you! |
