Accommodations Review:
|
Very roomy and comfortable for family of three. Had a corner room
so we were blessed with an extra window. Room was very clean and well-kept.
Had previously stayed at All-Stars resort and enjoyed the bigger room.
|
Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?
|
Chose this moderate over the others because of its smaller size.
Also our son liked the dragon themed pool |
Room # and Location Description:
|
#2348 Centrally located. Did not receive location requested but
this one turned out to be great. |
Room Location Pros & Cons:
|
Building #2 was centrally located. Short walk to the pool, food
court and transportation. Had a corner room by the stairs but was
never bothered by noise from outside. |
Check-In / Check-Out Comments:
|
Arrived around 7:30am and check-in took less than 15 minutes. Received
number to call to check room status. Room was ready by 11am. Originally
assigned building #1, which in the farthest away from everything.
Requested new room and was switched immediately. Employees were extremely
friendly. Check-out also took only minutes. |
WDW Transportation Comments:
|
All-in-all WDW transpiration was fine. A few minor annoyances but
nothing major. Watched 4 Animal Kingdom buses come and go and waited
45 minutes for a Magic Kingdom bus. Only happened one morning. I heard
several complaints about the fact that the Port Orleans bus stop is
always the farthest away from every park entrance. Didn't bother us
at all. You should expect to walk when you go to Disney. Still closer
to entrance than driving own car. |
Restaurant / Lounge Review:
|
Ate at the food court on several occasions. Fairly expensive but
portions are usually large. Learned early that one meal would usually
feed two of us. Saved money and wasted less food. Recommend the pizza
and chicken strips. |
Pool Description / Comments:
|
Our 3yr old loved the dragon slide. Spent hours going on it. Visited
pool midday and at night. Only one pool at this hotel but it never
seemed all that crowded. Life jackets provided for children. |
What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This
Resort?
|
We really enjoyed the small, home-like atmosphere. Highly recommend
the Port Orleans-French quarter. |
Other Comments:
|
Would stay at the Port Orleans again. Nothing unenjoyable about
visit. |
