The King size bed was very comfortable. Overall the room was very clean. Maid service did a good job.

Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?

We originally wanted to return to Port Orleans but they were completely booked, so Dixie Landings was the next choice. We decided to try something new.

Room # and Location Description:

Room #2536 - Alligator Bayou Very scenic. Overlooked the 24 hour pool, which did not disturb us at all.

Room Location Pros & Cons:

Aligator Bayou - Lodge 25. Pros: Close to the pool, parking area and West Depot Bus Stop. Cons: Very far from the Food Options and General Store. We had to drive to Boatwrights every morning for breakfast.

Check-In / Check-Out Comments:

Check in was very fast (but the cast member had a very bad Spanish accent) and it was difficult to understand her. Check out: Very fast. No problems.

WDW Transportation Comments:

Buses ran every 15 minutes or so from DL, but returning the resort at night from any of the Parks was a bit of a wait about 20 minutes at the most and VERY CROWDED.

Restaurant / Lounge Review:

Boatwrights Dining Hall - every morning for breakfast was FANTASTIC. Food was delicious, staff was very friendly and quick. Colonel's Cotton Mill was pretty good too. We ate there for lunch a couple of times. Food was tasty but kind of expensive. But hey, you're gonna spend a lot of money of vacation right?!

Pool Description / Comments:

Clean, cool, refreshing. No problems. No Crowds.

What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This Resort?

I would highly recommend this resort. If travelling with children I guess you should suggest a room closer to the food/services/pools. If you a couple, Alligator Bayou was very scenic and romantic.

Other Comments:

We feel in love with this resort. Port Orleans and Dixie Landings are both great resorts to stay at.
