Accommodations Review:
|
We stayed here 5 years ago it was great. This time it was awful.
You can really tell (Disney Chairman Michael) Eisner has cut staff,
service and his own throat. Rooms were dirty, a used diaper sat outside
our room for over a day. Food court five years ago had different selections
every night. Not this time if you don't like fried chicken, hamburger,
or bad pizza you are out of luck. Last time huge selection of food,
this time one whole area of food court was closed, no cooler in aisle
with salad selections. They even had the nerve to ask patrons to reuse
their towels, supposedly to save the environment. Buy Amway soaps
and stop nickel and dimeing the guest. |
Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?
|
It was great in the past. With three sets of family renting rooms
it met everyone's budget. |
Room # and Location Description:
|
1421-1423 Alligator Bayou. Dirty Rooms and landscaping was very
weedy and in bad shape. |
Room Location Pros & Cons:
|
Close to Pool, Food court and bus service. Accessible for members
of the family needing to use an electric scoter. |
Check-In / Check-Out Comments:
|
We could never get billing straight. I had arranged with the Disney
World florist to have food baskets delivered to everyone as they checked
in their rooms. At 11:00 at night they still had not arrived. Called
front desk and they said that they would deliver in morning they were
too short staffed. Same story with in room refrigerator. I was insistent
for everything to be delivered since we were paying for refrigerator
that day even though it wasn't delivered. |
WDW Transportation Comments:
|
The only bright spot of the resort. They did a great job of accommodating
the scooter. |
Restaurant / Lounge Review:
|
Yuck |
Pool Description / Comments:
|
Great design. Some lifeguards were surly. The pool usually had floating
debris (mulch). Lots of biting ants and bees, didn't appear to be
any attempt to do any pest control. |
What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This
Resort?
|
Don't go. If you have too stay away from Alligator Bayou |
Other Comments:

Will someone remind Eisner that Disney's price premium derives from
superior service. When that service declines because of personnel
cuts, and the subsequent pricing changes, guests don't comeback. Hello
off-site resorts. |
