Accommodations Review:

Wonderful grounds and themeing. Nice and quiet. Room was clean,
not overly large and showing some signs of wear but overall we were
very satisfied and they did a good job of carrying on the theme inside
as well as on the grounds. We were in Alligator Bayou and the trundle
bed came in handy so that each of our two sons could have their own
bed. I must say however, that I don't understand why they go with
double beds instead of queens. |
Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?
|
Originally wanted to stay in Port Orleans but it was full so went
with DXL instead. The themes at these two resorts just appealed to
me more than the other moderate resorts and we like the location near
EPCOT and Downtown Disney. |
Room # and Location Description:
|
Alligator Bayou, building 26, room 2644. |
Room Location Pros & Cons:
|
Couldn't have picked a better location if I had chosen it myself.
It was away from pools and parking lots (noise) yet not what I consider
a long walk from the main buildings. As far as we were concerned there
were no negatives to the location. This is, of course, highly dependent
on each persons personal preferences. We don't mind having to walk
a little to get places. Other folks want to be right on top of everything. |
Check-In / Check-Out Comments:
|
No problems. Friendly and efficient. Didn't even have to go to the
main desk at checkout. |
WDW Transportation Comments:
|
Didn't use it. Had our own car. |
Restaurant / Lounge Review:
|
Only tried the food court. Decent variety of choices and a pleasant
enough atmosphere. Almost forgot, we did order pizza delivered to
room one night which was fun and was pretty good too. |
Pool Description / Comments:
|
Weather did not cooperate while we were there so we didn't use the
pools. |
What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This
Resort?
|
If you are looking for a relatively peaceful, quiet, place to stay,
I would highly recommend staying in Alligator Bayou. Disney was very
successful in creating a feeling of being secluded deep in the bayou
which we enjoyed. |
Other Comments:

Had a very enjoyable stay here and if money were no object, I would
stay there again in a heartbeat. |
