Rate / Night (for your stay):

$89.00 plus tax (annual pass holder rate)

Date(s) of Stay:

10/31/01- 11/09/01

Accommodation Used:

Standard Room / Studio

Accommodations Review:

The room was an average size room. Our family of four was comfortable. I wish the bathroom was a little bigger. I also wish there was more drawer space.

Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?

We originally picked Port Orleans French Quarter but it was being closed during our stay so we switched to Riverside.

Room # and Location Description:

Alligator Bayou, building 14

Room Location Pros & Cons:

We were in a great location. We were close to the main food court/gift store, etc. We were also close to the South Depot bus stop. This is the first stop the bus makes. We were also not too far from the main pool.

Check-In / Check-Out Comments:

Both were quick and smooth.

WDW Transportation Comments:

We never had a problem with the bus service. I was very worried because of all of the other cutbacks WDW was implementing. I thought the bus service might be a problem but it wasn't. We never waited more than 10 minutes (either way) for a bus. Some rides on the way back to the resort were very crowded. (If we were leaving near closing time)

Restaurant / Lounge Review:

We ate in the food court several times. The food was ok. The selection was ok. We used the refillable mugs which was worth it for us. If you are in a building far from the food court it may not be worth it.

Pool Description / Comments:

We liked the main pool very much. We used it several times (day and evening) and it was never too crowded. There were always plenty of lifeguards. It was heated which was great for evening swims. My kids ( 5& 3) loved the water slide. They also enjoyed this pool because there were many areas which were not too deep and they could stand/swim by themselves.

What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This Resort?

Look at the map and pick a location that fits your needs.

Other Comments:

We are sad that we were unable to stay at French Quarter but had a nice experience at Riverside. We would stay here again.
