Accommodations Review:

We had a garden view room in the Rapa Nui building. Rooms have been re-decorated since we last stayed at the Poly in 97. Everything was in excellent shape. I believe it was a handicapped room since there wasn't a tub just a roll-in shower. The bathroom was beautiful! We've had better garden views at the Poly. Our room faced the Tahiti building. There is a parking lot right outside the building. The room was spacious and had a fridge that we didn't request and weren't charged for.

Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?

We love the Poly and wanted to check out the new pool but stayed here only for 1 night because of the holiday room rate.

Room # and Location Description:

1124 in the Rapa Nui building. Its on the far right of the resort close to the ticket and transportation center. I prefer to be closer o the Great Ceremonial House, but it was a quick walk away.

Room Location Pros & Cons:

I didn't make any special requests for room location. We didn't go to any parks while we were here and the location was fine for getting around the resort.

Check-In / Check-Out Comments:

My husband checked-in, he said it was fast. We used express check-out.

WDW Transportation Comments:

Didn't use any this time. I don't like the bus service at the Poly. Using the monorail for the MK is great!

Restaurant / Lounge Review:

We had dinner at 'Ohana - 9pm and we got a perfect table to view the fireworks without asking. We like 'Ohana - the kids enjoyed the coconut races and hula-hoops. We had breakfast at Kona Cafe - what a beautiful place, so many things to look at! Lunch was at the pool from Captain Cook's. Burgers, but without all the fixings. My husband said it was mobbed and he didn't want to wait around. The pool bar has excellent frozen drinks.

Pool Description / Comments:

The new pool was fun. It was crowed but we got a table near the beach. The slide is fun, but a little too long in the dark for me. The kids each went down it once only, but they said they liked it. The 'jets' in the pool were nice, but a hot tub would be better. I missed the hammocks on the beach! The seating area by the pool seems much larger.

What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This Resort?

We love this hotel. Its beautiful and relaxing.

Other Comments:

We usually only stay at the Poly if we get a discount on the room rate, but the regular rate was worth it for 1 night since we were not going to any parks. We feel the rates are too high if your going to be in the parks all day.
