Accommodations Review:
|
We had a great time! The suite was perfect! We have two children
under the age of 5, so they would crash early after going all day,
and we didn't have to go to bed at the same time that they did. We
also had plenty of closet and dresser space to unpack and the room
wasn't cluttered with junk everywhere. |
Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?
|
We stayed because it was in our price range and we read the positive
reviews from this website. |
Room # and Location Description:
|
We were in room #5000. The room had a sitting room with a TV and
couch, then it had a separate bedroom with 2 queen size beds, an additional
TV and separate entrance to the bathroom. It was a Woodlands view
rm. |
Room Location Pros & Cons:
|
Pros - 1. We could see the water pageant and the fireworks from
our balconies. 2. We were the last room on the corner of the building,
so we didn't have a lot of "traffic" outside of our room.
Cons- 1. We were pretty far from the vending machines and the elevator.
(That is the only con that I could come up with)

Check-In / Check-Out Comments:
|
Check -in was easy and the guy that brought up our luggage filled
us in on all the activities at the lodge and any other useful information.
Check-out worked out great also. Our flight didn't leave Orlando until
the evening ,so we planned on spending the day at Magic Kingdom. Although
we couldn't get a late check out, they did store our luggage for us
for the day. While we waited for the Mears bus to take us to the airport,
they gave our sad children coloring books and crayons to make the
time go by a little easier. |
WDW Transportation Comments:
|
Our children really enjoyed the boat ride over to the Magic Kingdom!
The buses were pretty easy to figure out. The only bad experience
we had was waiting over 35 minutes for a bus to take us back to the
resort from Downtown Disney. |
Restaurant / Lounge Review:
|
The Breakfast with Pooh and Friends at the Artist's Point was terrific!
The food was delicious and the characters really did a good job of
seeing all the children and making them feel special. We ate most
of our meals at the Roaring Fork for breakfast and dinner. It was
perfect for the kids who were really not that hungry after a long
day and definitely not up for waiting in a restaurant. |
Pool Description / Comments:
|
The weather was sunny and 80 degrees every day that we were there,
so we got to use the pool. The kids loved the slide. There really
wasn't a deep end so we didn't have to worry about the kids going
too far from us. |
What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This
Resort?
|
We would recommend that visitors with young children try to stay
in the suites. It made the vacation much more pleasant knowing that
everyone got a good nights rest. Also, on a different note, I would
recommend purchasing the Souvenir Mugs at the Roaring Fork. Free refills! |
Other Comments:
|
We were also impressed with housekeeping at Wilderness Lodge. They
were very friendly and the person who cleaned our room every day made
different animals out of towels for the children. The kids couldn't
wait to get back to the room to see what animal had been left that
day! |
