Rate / Night (for your stay):

Not sure - part of wedding package

Date(s) of Stay:

9/04/2001 - 9/08/2001

Accommodation Used:

Standard Room / Studio

Accommodations Review:

We had a King Room on the concierge level. The room was good sized and very nicely themed. We also had a full size balcony which was nice to have in the morning because we would normally grab a bite to eat from the concierge lounge and eat it on the balcony.

Why Did you Select This Resort for your Stay?

Location (near EPCOT and MGM) and Stormalong Bay

Room # and Location Description:

5143 - Concierge Level next to elevators and concierge lounge.

Room Location Pros & Cons:

Great location. We were close to everything on the concierge level.

Check-In / Check-Out Comments:

Check-in and check-out were a breeze because of staying on the concierge level.

WDW Transportation Comments:

We thought that the boats were a bit slow, especially after Fantasmic, but buses were fast and the walk to EPCOT is quick and easy.

Restaurant / Lounge Review:

We ate at Yachtman's Steakhouse, Beaches n' Cream and Hurricane Hanna's. Yachtman's and Beaches were wonderful. Hurricane Hanna's was a bit disappointing.

Pool Description / Comments:

Stormalong Bay is a wonderful pool. It was very relaxing and had so much to do. The only disappointing thing is that you have to pay to get innertubes. We enjoyed Stormalong Bay so much, we never made it to the quiet pool.

What Suggestions Would you Give Anyone that is Considering This Resort?

If you can afford to stay on the concierge level, do it. The concierge staff at the Yacht Club is absolutely wonderful. They helped us do so many things, from making priority seating arrangements to helping me get flowers for my wife on our wedding day. Even if you do not stay on the concierge level, the resort is still wonderful. The theming is great, the location is wonderful, the pool is awesome and the general staff is very nice and courteous. If you like to swim and plan on spending a lot of time at EPCOT, MGM or Boardwalk, this is the place for you.
