Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween PartyMickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is held on several nights during the Fall each year. During the party, the Magic Kingdom is transformed into a haunted park with trick-or-treating (most kids dress up in costumes, by the way), a special Halloween Fireworks show, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Parade, Special stage shows and entertainment are available throughout the park. Of course, most of the parks most popular attractions are running during the party, too. Advanced sales ticket prices for the 2002 event are $27.95 for adults and $22.95 for children ages 3-9 (Including Tax). Day of prices, if they're still available, are $29.95 for adults and $24.95 for children ages 3-9 (Including Tax). You can order your tickets by calling Disney's Central Reservations Office at (407) 934-7639 or (407) 939-3463. The 2002 dates are: October 11th, 17th, 20th, 25th, 27th, 31st and November 1st. On these dates, the park closes early (at 5:00pm) and reopens for the party from 7:00pm to Midnight. Even if you're at the Magic Kingdom earlier in the day and have a ticket for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you'll have to exit the park and re-enter later. Walt Disney World historically has limited the number of tickets that are available for such events. That means that the party may sell out in advance, so don't delay in purchasing tickets. Exactly what the crowd conditions will be for any such event will vary (it seems to have been much busier in 2000 than in previous years) but in general you can expect fewer crowds than during the daytime hours in the park. By the way, Sue Holland, in her Everything But the Parks column, has provided a great photo tour of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Enjoy! |
