Traveling With Kids -
Other Resources
MousePlanet
has a great section called "Parenting
in the Parks." Adrienne Krock's articles are
mainly focused on Disneyland, however, "Parenting
in the Parks" has a ton of great information that can
be applied to a trip to Walt Disney World as well!
"Walt Disney
World With Kids, 2002"
Next, before going too much further, I must also
recommend the wonderful book, "Walt Disney World with Kids,"
by Kim Wiley (a full review can be read on the "Critiques"
page). Kim's book covers in greater detail most of the things
I will mention here. If you have kids below junior high age,
I would recommend that you purchase (or borrow) this book and
read through it before you leave on your trip.
Another resource that I Must refer you to is the
Travel With Kids site at About.com. Teresa Plowright is
the About.Com Guide, Travel
With Kids (About.Com), on traveling with kids. She
has a wonderful site that gives a great deal of information
on the topic, that would be well-worth your while to look over.
There is a valuable set of links that are specific to Disneyland
and Walt Disney World, but a ton of non-Disney information,
too. The site can be viewed by selecting the link in the
left-hand panel.
Looking for more information
on taking care of and raising children?
Ok, so this is a bit off topic, but this may be
helpful...Growing Families International
- GFI is an organization that helps parents to teach good values
and instill good character in their children. Their website
gives you an overview of the ministry and an online place to
shop for family resources including GFI's own parenting materials.
