To call DisneyQuest an arcade would be partly correct.
To add that it includes several high-tech virtual reality attractions
would also be true. Call it a combination of virtual reality simulators,
arcade, and midway games and you'll be getting closer to the mark.
DisneyQuest is really an attraction in it's own right. You probably
should plan on a good two to six hours of recreation here (or more), if
any of these things sound remotely like your cup of tea. Buzz Lightyear's
Astro Blaster is my personal favorite "ride." My wife,
Barb, enjoyed the animation tutorial. Others might enjoy designing
and riding their own roller coasters (in a three-dimensional simulator).
Located in the West Side, towards the far West end across
from the House of Blues and between the Cirque du Soleil arena and the
Virgin Megastore.
Normal operating hours for DisneyQuest is 10:30am to 12:00midnight.
Hours may be extended until 1:00am on Friday and Saturdays or during particularly
busy times of the year.
(Note that the Unlimited
"length-of-stay" Park Hopper and Premium Annual Passes do provide
unlimited admission to DisneyQuest. That admission includes use
of all attractions except for those few in the "Midway on the Moon"
area that give out coupons (or tickets) that can be redeemed for prizes.
"Midway on the Moon" includes games such as Skeeball, a
Disneyfied version of the venerable "whack-a-mole" game, and
so on. All of the simulators and arcade games will be available
to you on your Unlimited Park Hopper admission.)
