Wide World of Sports Complex
Disney's Wide World of Sports is much more a spectator facility
than a place of participation. It was built as a result of the passion
for sports possessed by the family of Disney Company Chairman Michael
Eisner. That's fair, I suppose, since Disneyland included many passions
held by Walt Disney himself.
The main attraction, of course, is the opportunity to watch
premium sports such as the Harlem Globetrotters and Atlanta Braves in
training. Many amateur and professional sports evens are held here
annually.
Admission:
About $8 for adults, $7 for kids 3-9 years old for "non-premium"
events. Admission for "Premium" events such as Atlanta
Braves exhibition games varies.
