Food Review: |
This is our favorite character breakfast,
and we decided to try the dinner with a visiting friend. The food is
served family style and you can request seconds (or thirds) if you'd
like. The kids got chicken fingers and macaroni and cheese and helped
themselves to our corn on the cob. The three adults each got a very
tasty salad (comes with Ranch dressing) and sunflower bread. The
meal came in large skillets and consisted of rotisserie chicken,
plantain breaded catfish, marinated flank steak, cornbread stuffing,
corn on the cob, zucchini/carrot medley and mashed potatoes, which
you served yourself. The flank steak was a hit with us, and the
catfish was great (this from someone who isn't a big fish eater!)
Our dining companion loved the chicken, which I didn't try (there's
always next time) The veggies were very tasty, great cornbread
stuffing, and the corn didn't need any seasoning. All five of us ate
heartily, not realizing that we were to be served incredible
desserts! The boys got butterfly sugar cookies to decorate with
frosting and sprinkles. The three adults got a brownie, covered with
strawberry sauce, ice cream, whipped cream and fudge sauce. Yes, we
made room for them and rolled out of the restaurant to go to
Spectromagic at MK. Another note, beer is available for an
additional charge, but soft drinks are included in the price of
$19.95 A/$9.95 C |

Great service. Our server was great with
the boys and truly was a pro, getting everyone in his section to
sing to two different tables with birthdays... a consummate professional. |
Atmosphere Review: |
The restaurant rotates as you eat your
meal, and you look down onto several scenes of the "Listen to the
Land" ride. This is a character meal, and we were visited several
times by Farmer Mickey, Chip, Dale and Pluto. Chip and Dale were in
rare form at this meal, with Chip constantly playing with younger
sons curls and covering older son's eyes in a 'Guess Who' game.
Plenty of photo opportunities, however, I prefer the lower tier
booths for this-that'll be the request for next time. |
Other Comments: |
We were able to enjoy a leisurely
meal...we were never rushed and were made to feel very welcome. When
we walked out of the restaurant, we'd realized we'd been there for
nearly two hours. This was especially nice, as my family was joined
by my matron of honor from our wedding, who now lives in Florida, 15
hours away from
us! | | | |
