Food Review: |
Disappointing. I had read a lot of rave
reviews about the food here but we found it rather bland. We had a
big lunch at the Derby so weren't as hungry as we were exhausted so
we decided to share an appetizer and an entree. We ordered the
"Combination appetizer for two" which had the Beef Brewat Rolls,
Chicken Bastilla, and Jasmina's Salad. The bastilla and the rolls
were pretty good but their taste was very similar. We didn't care
for the salad. For an entree we chose the Shish Kebab which was
simply chunks of beef (very tender) with a tomato based sauce. Since
we weren't that hungry, it was enough food but had this been our
main meal of the day, we would have left hungry (the kabobs didn't
have a side dish with them only the meat and the onion slices). The
kids did not like the kid kabobs or the kid breast of chicken. But
then again, they are very finicky. |
Service Review: |
Very good. Part of it may have been that
we were the last people in the place and they wanted to go home but
nevertheless we never wanted for prompt service. |
Atmosphere Review: |
I verified when I made the PS that
entertainment would be part of the meal even at this late time. The
belly dancer did make an appearance and she did invite our kids to
dance with her (and to our surprise, they accepted). Her whole
performance only lasted five minutes though. |

This was our biggest disappointment
meal-wise of our trip. To be fair, my review might be tainted by a
couple of factors: 1) I was expecting a lot based on others'
reviews; 2) the food was too bland for us and too exotic for the
kids, 3) this was our last night in the parks and we were beat. On
another note, I had drained my glass of iced tea and had some
crushed ice in my mouth when I realized that some of the ice was
glass!! I told our server about it just as a "heads up" to prevent
future occurrences and she didn't seem concerned in the least. When
my wife then found broken glass in her drink, we decided it was time
to go.
