Food Review: |
AWFUL!!!! My mum is British and I have
grown up eating lovely bangers and mash, yorky puds and meatpies
made by her and my grandfather. This food is nowhere near
authentic.
I ordered Fish & Chips and the batter coating was
rather soggy and the chips were too greasy. My mum ordered bangers
and mash - and the sausage (being American made) was not very good.
In fact the waiter (from Scotland) kept offering her mustard as if
he know how bad they were.
The only positive thing I can say is the
Trifle was very good - quite similar to anything I've had in the UK.
Otherwise, if you are British or have eaten good British food, steer
clear of this place as there is neither an authentic nor good
British meal to be had there!

Service Review: |
Hostesses were a tad surly, but the
waiter more than made up for it. He was excellent, knew the menu
well and was quite aware of the poor quality of the food. He made a
bad experience a little more tolerable. |
Atmosphere Review: |
Good - but rather noisy for an "authentic
" English pub. My family is from Oxford, so perhaps I am judging
them from a higher standard and being a tad unfair. But for $98.00 I
would have a expected a more friendly and jovial pub atmosphere as
you would find in England. |
Other Comments: |
None of the sausages or cheeses are
British made, so don't expect a real taste of England. It's a shame
really as many tourists probably think that this is what British
food tastes
like. |
