Food Review: |
After ordering, we were served a basket
of chips and salsa with our wine while we waited for our main
courses to be served. My chicken mole and his stuffed poblano
peppers were just delicious. For dessert I had a nice coffee flan
and he had a dessert chimichanga with ice cream. Everything was
great. |
Service Review: |
Our waiter could not have been more
gracious and attentive. He double checked with me about my wine
choice, just to make sure he'd gotten it right, and returned
numerous times to ask if we liked our food and if there was anything
else we needed. |
Atmosphere Review: |
The San Angel restaurant overlooks the
beginning of the boat ride in the Mexican showcase. The room is
always darkened to make it seem like evening, and this makes it very
romantic. In addition, there was a live mariachi band playing in
the "plaza" just outside the restaurant area, and there are little
stands that sell Mexican articles. A very nice place to retreat to
and take a break. |
Other Comments: |
The selection on the menu was not huge;
there were maybe six or eight choices for main courses, and about
four desserts. But what they did have was very
nice. |
