Priority Seating / Reservations Comments: |
We made reservations months ahead, but
I'm sure you could do that the night before too. We asked to be
seated along the river, but there were no available tables. |
Time of Wait: |
While we did make reservations, they were
for 7 pm and the restaurant was extremely busy. We had a wait time
of approximately 30 min. This was okay for us as it gave us time to
peruse the market and buy stuff. There was a long line at the
market's cash so the time was well spent. The restaurant gave my
wife one of those red blinking electronic pagers to notify us when
our table was ready. |
Food Review: |
I ordered the Mole Poblano, having heard
about from numerous people. It was FABULOUS! The grilled chicken on
top was delicious and not too dry. The rice was perfect. The mole
sauce was pleasantly spicy, but not volcanic. My wife had the Pollo
A Las Rajas, which tasted good, but had way too many onions for her
liking. The portions were huge, matching the expensive prices of the
dinner menu. While we didn't have kids, I took a look at the kids
menu and it looked pretty good. Great prices and decent assortment
of Tex-Mex items. |
Service Review: |
The service was satisfactory. He did not
check up on us too much, but the food did take a little too long to
get to us. |
Atmosphere Review: |
Nothing beats the atmosphere inside the
Mexico pavilion. The somber lighting, Mariachi music, smell of the
food, and the River of Time ride and the Mayan temple in the
background also make this spot very very romantic if its not too
busy. |
Other Comments: |
The San Angel Inn is one of my favorite places to dine at Walt Disney World, particularly if I desire a
romantic setting. It can be a little noisy at times, so try and go
off-hours. |
