Magic Kingdom - Liberty Square
Brian's Review
Columbia Harbor House is a fast food chicken and fish joint. Having said that, I
must admit to be pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. I enjoyed the fish
very much, although Barb preferred the chicken. Actually, it worked out well...we
just traded our meals. There is nothing fancy here, just a reasonable meal at
counter service prices in a nicely themed nautical / colonial atmosphere.
Columbia
Harbor House does get busy, but not as bad as the burger and fries fast food places.

Like most Magic Kingdom counter service
eateries, there's a lot of seating here, but the tables are
scattered about in small rooms. Finding a couple together,
for a larger family, is challenging.

Brian's Review
Another hit! We went here for dinner one night and fell in love with the colonial
decor. Having spent many, many Easter vacations in Williamsburg Virginia, I really enjoy
the motif. There is a large fireplace in the entry hall, eating areas are at various
levels (separated by small flights of stairs) throughout the restaurant. The waiters and
waitresses are dressed in colonial garb (knickers and coats for the guys, floor-length
dresses and bonnets for the ladies). The food is good, and the squeaking floors and
fireplaces highlight the atmosphere. Menu choices include "Pilgrim's Feast", a
turkey dinner with all the fixings, and "Country Pot Roast", very good beef with
gravy, potatoes, and veggies. The Tavern's specialty drink, "Patriot's Punch", is an orange sherbet and soda
drink. It's very good, and served
in a glass commemorative mug that you get to keep (actually, at the end of the meal they
give you a new, clean one in a box to keep).
Liberty Tree Tavern is also the location of a character
dinner that features Chip, Dale, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, and other
characters. For some reason, this doesn't appear to be one of the most
popular character meals, so it's often possible (at least during the
less-busy times of the year) to actually get walk-up seating.
My only beef about the Liberty Tree Tavern is
that the food is oriented to 20th century palettes instead of 18th century realism. I
really wish the Liberty Tree served authentic colonial meals like they do at the King's
Arms Tavern in Williamsburg, Virginia, for example. Personal opinion, but I think this
place would be a lot more special -- and fun -- if Disney did it that way.

In all of our trips to WDW, I don't ever remember
having a snack at Sleepy Hollow. It's located in a
high-traffic area, but we usually are looking for lunch or dinner in
Liberty Square (at the Harbour House or Liberty Tree Tavern) not
snacks.
