We had tried 60 days in advance for every
day we would be at WDW. We got the PS for our LAST day in the park,
on our last try. Very lucky indeed. I was amazed how day after day i
was talking to someone at literally 7:02 am and it was already sold
out. But thankfully we were able to get this once in a lifetime
meal. |
Time of Wait: |
None. Our PS was for 7:50 AM. We arrived
via monorail from the TTC and were let through the gates at 7:30am.
We promptly grabbed a stroller and checked in at the castle podium
at 7:40. We were taken immediately upstairs to our table (which was
next to the window, WOW!) |
Food Review: |
Unbelievable. We went with the
traditional breakfast ( there was also a healthy option) Our
breakfast consisted of croissants and butter, chocolate muffins
(which the children gobbled up), coffee, orange juice (which i think
i had 5 or 6 glasses of lol) scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage,
potatoes (great), and everyone's favorite, cheese filled French toast. I have read reviews of the
restaurant here at MousePlanet
and everyone raved over the French toast. Well here are 6 more
endorsements, everyone loved it. |
Service Review: |
Excellent. Our server was extremely
attentive and brought food before we even asked. Every time I'd put
down my half empty orange juice, someone would come along and refill
it. It is a little different from the "family style" meal we had
earlier in the week where they bring you each dish and you help
yourselves. Here they bring each person a plate where it has
everything on it. Don't worry, if there's something you don't like
(which didn't happen in our case) you don't need to eat it before they
would bring you more lol). I must admit I finished 2 full plates
(plus a 3rd piece of French toast) but I didn't eat again that day
until dinner time I was so full. |
Atmosphere Review: |
Come on, it's the castle, it's wonderful,
beautiful, and any other adjective you could think of. My daughter
(which they always called princess) was enthralled with meeting
Cinderella, Snow White, The Fairy Godmother, and Jasmine. My son
(the prince) was very happy to meet Aladdin. We had been told that
Belle was supposed to be there when we made our PS, but my daughter didn't
mind at all getting to meet jasmine instead, and met Belle
later on in the park. |
Other Comments: |
Truly something we will always remember.
We will surely try our hardest to do it again on our next trip, but
if we never can get through again, it will be ok. It was the perfect
way to start our last day in the park, and something I will always
be happy I was able to do for my children.
One interesting side note,
a server from another table While still managing to call me "my
lord" did a pin-trade with me (my first ever) and he wanted my extra
Halloween party pin ( I still have 3 more lol) as much as I wanted
his (sold out park-wide) Mickey America pin. Another lucky break
connected with this meal.
I highly recommend the character breakfast
to anyone with a daughter, or kids in general. But my wife and I, as
well as Grandmom and Pop-Pop enjoyed eating in the castle as much as
the kids
did.
