We were a few minutes late. (No one told us about the parade and that we'd have to fight our way through a huge crowd of people waiting for the parade! It took us 45 minutes to get from the entrance to the Castle for dinner! The park was packed (Labor Day weekend!) What was I thinking?

Time of Wait:

30 seconds!

Food Review:

This was our first meal in one of the parks and it was by far our best. I started my meal with the salad of field greens and grilled, wild mushrooms with gorgonzola. This salad was wonderful. GET IT! Now, I'm not a big steak eater, but get the prime rib-you'll want to lick your plate! It's their specialty, so that's what I chose for my meal. I got the Queens portion, medium-well. It melted in my mouth. It was perfectly cooked for my taste. My husband got the filet of beef. He was making yummy, food sounds the whole time he was eating. He said it was soooooooooo very good! It was cooked to perfection he said. He loved the mashed root vegetable (mashed potatoes) and he actually ate his vegetables. He never eats them at home. He ate everything on his plate! We both did! Our dinner was wonderful! And the desserts ~ to die for! I chose the warm apple bread pudding with maple walnut ice cream and a warm caramel sauce-ummmmmmmmmm! My husband had a chocolate mousse cake that looked wonderful. He loved it! Our 9 year old was very happy with his chicken tenders. He also had the chocolate mousse cake for his dessert. He loved it! This was a great meal!

Service Review:

The service was very warm and friendly. We were seated quickly. Our server was very attentive, but not bothersome. No need to hurry, just enjoy the feeling of being royalty. Our water glasses were never empty. Our dishes were removed when we were finished and relaxing, not pulled out from under your fork as soon as you stop eating. No complaints about anything. We were the last ones to leave for the night. We were not rushed out the door because they were getting ready to close. We were allowed to linger and enjoy the surroundings. Everyone was so very nice.

Atmosphere Review:

This was our first full day at Disney. It was our son's first time here, so I wanted to make our first meal something magical. It was. I booked our dinner late, for 8:15 so that we could watch the fireworks from inside the castle. It was so beautiful. We were seated in front of the windows and the view was breathtaking. They dim the lights inside so you get the full effects of what is going on outside. The castle is really comfy and warm. It is not noisy and bright, like some of the other restaurants. You feel like royalty. Our son even went to an empty table by himself to watch the fireworks and not one server said anything. He just sat quietly in awe of the spectacle outside. It was pure magic.
