Food Review: |
BLAND! |
Service Review: |
Fairly efficient, like it is at
dinner. |
Atmosphere Review: |
NOISY! I've never eaten a meal while
wearing EARPLUGS. If I hadn't had them, I would have left. |

You'd think that, for almost $16 (price
had just been raised a buck), one would expect the same dazzling
variety of breakfast items at the Crystal Palace as you find at its'
dinner. BUT NO! I've seen far more entrees offered at such local
chain restaurants as Golden Corral, at about half the price! The Crystal Palace
b-fast is, I'm sad to say, a RIPOFF! It is overpriced by at least
five dollars. Although the Crystal Palace does feature the most popular items-
pancakes, waffles, French toast, eggs, bacon and sausage- there was
a pathetic assortment of bakery items. They had donut holes, but no
donuts. Incredibly, THEY HAD NO PASTRIES OR DANISH! The only thing
with frosting on it was BUNDT CAKE! Although they did have
croissants, they had been microwaved into MUSH. The fruit bar was
almost bare. They had pineapple, some melon and something you never
see at a breakfast buffet- WATERMELON! They did NOT have either of
Florida's most common breakfast fruit items- grapefruit and
strawberries. (WHO EATS WATERMELON OR BUNDT CAKE FOR BREAKFAST?) As
for the main food table, there were no special items, like crepes,
blintzes or an omelet bar. I was also disappointed by the "coffee"
the Crystal Palace serves. They recently switched to the almost undrinkable
FREEZE-DRIED NESCAFE! How they have the nerve to serve this swill
amazed me. So, for all these reasons, avoid the Crystal Palace until it is
"fixed." (The Grand Floridian resort has a far superior breakfast
buffet called 1900 Park Fare. For the same price, one can select
from twice as many entrees, still be entertained by roving
characters and enjoy something the Crystal Palace sorely lacks...
SILENCE!)
