Priority Seating / Reservations Comments: |
We made priority seating arrangements by
phone approximately 45 days prior to our trip. No problems. |
Time of Wait: |
15 minutes. We had priority seating for
5:45pm. We went straight to the Crystal Palace as we entered the
Magic Kingdom (this was our 1st evening at WDW). This was about
5:20pm and there was no line at the priority seating check-in
window. We should have checked in at that point; but my son wanted
to ride "something" first--so we went to Pirates of the Caribbean
(which was close) and came back to the restaurant at about 5:40pm.
Now the line was a lot longer. We did get checked in right at 5:45pm
and we had to wait about 15 minutes. |
Food Review: |
This is an "all-you-can-eat" buffet. The
food was OK; but nothing spectacular. The attraction here is the
steady stream of Disney characters which make their way around the
restaurant. Since our son is 14, this was not a "big" deal--but we
still had fun with the characters (whether Sean wanted to really
admit it or not). |
Service Review: |
Service was good--but, again, this is
primarily a "serve yourself" buffet. |
Atmosphere Review: |
As I mentioned, the main "draw" here is
the characters. Because of the steady stream of Disney characters,
the atmosphere is one of fun and interaction. |
Other Comments: |
While we were finishing our meal, a big
thunderstorm hit the Magic Kingdom (We thought this might be a bad
omen for us since the central Florida area is in a drought and had
not experienced much rain at all lately). The restaurant staff was
very understanding about letting us "linger" in the restaurant until
the storm passed about 20 minutes
later. |
