It was really busy and we probably
should have had reservations, but we were a group meeting up for
dinner and didn't really know what time everyone would arrive. |
Time of Wait:
|
Overall, we probably waited 75-90
minutes, but that wasn't completely the restaurant's fault. People
in our party kept leaving and Rainforest wouldn't seat us unless
everyone was there. It was 8:30 or 9:00 on a Monday night and the
place was packed. |
Food Review:
|
The food was very good. My husband and
I had eaten there on our trip in 1999, so we were more than
willing to return. Portions are very generous and everyone in our
group liked what they ordered. |
Service Review:
|
Service was decent. Not great, but not
terrible, either. When we were taken into the restaurant, we had
to wait another 5-10 minutes in another area before we were
seated. Our waiter did a pretty good job. I don't recall having to
wait forever for the food, then the bill. |
Atmosphere Review:
|
Amazing! It was dark and even seemed a
little humid, like you would expect in a jungle. Every few
minutes, the animals came to life and it was so much fun to watch
them. Very well themed, a lot of fun. |

I recommend this place for a fun meal.
We will probably return to the Rainforest Cafe. If we do, we will
definitely make reservations or at least make it very clear to
anyone in our group that we expect people to show up at a certain
time and stay put! Part of the problem with the long wait was that
it was late February and the parks aren't open very late, so
everyone descends on Downtown Disney after about 8:00 or so.
Things might be different when the parks stay open later. |
