Our hosts ordered 2 Tribal Feast
appetizer platters for the table, and 2 bottles of wine. One
person had a frozen mixed drihnk that she said was good, but
very, very sweet. I had the vegetarian pizza, hubby had the
catfish, 5 people had the beef tenderloin filet, another
person had a seafood pasta something. Hubby and I also had
side salads. The food was actually quite good, and the
portions were enormous. We could have easily done without the
appetizers and the salads. However, the quality of the food
was greatly overshadowed by the lousy service |
Service Review: |
Hectic, sporadic, inadequate and
inattentive. After we were seated, it was 10 minutes before
anyone took our drink order. The drinks were 15 minutes in
arriving. Our hosts asked for 2 bottles of wine, and 4
glasses. They got 3 glasses. a 4th was never delivered despite
repeated requests. The appetizers arrived promptly, then it was
a long, dry spell before the remaining food arrived. There was
not enough silverware at the table, and it took 3 requests to
get additional table service. When the food arrived, our salads
were omitted, and one person's entree lagged 15 minutes behind
that of every one else, despite the fact it was the same
entree that 4 other people had ordered. (Non-alcoholic) drinks
were seldom refilled. Our server was scarce, but each time we
did see him, POLITE requests were made for the silverware,
wine glasses, drink refills, etc. We even resorted to asking
ANY server to help us out. |
Atmosphere Review: |
We were out on the patio and it was
quite nice. Not as crowded or noisy as inside. |
Other Comments: |
Given my previous experiences, had
we not been guests of another party, there is virtually no way
I would have eaten here again. I spent time as a server in my
college days, and I can attest that there is no excuse for the
consistently poor quality of service we have found here. Our
server boasted that he was covering 8 tables that night
instead of 3, (and I DO know it is hard!) but there were no
apologies, nor any adjustments made to our
