I arrived a few minutes before 6pm on a
Saturday evening, and the place was only 3/4's full. When I left a
little after 6:30pm, it had filled up and there was a line of 3 or 4
parties waiting to be seated. |
Food Review: |
I started off with the greenhouse salad
and a Wowzer's Wheat. The salad was average; the beer, better than
average--very refreshing. For dinner I had the hazelnut chicken,
which included garlic mashed potatoes, and sautéed vegetables. The
chicken was very good, crunchy on the outside and moist on the
inside. The garlic mashed potatoes were OK as far as potatoes go,
but I think the mashed potatoes side is a tired trend by now. The sautéed
vegetables, however, were the best! I don't know if they're
always this good, but they were worth mentioning. I had a Rocket Red
Ale with dinner, and it was very, very good . . . loved it. |
Service Review: |
My server was attentive and
friendly. |
Atmosphere Review: |
The decor is coffee shop ugly. On the
other hand, the beer is so good, you probably won't notice. |
Other Comments: |
The beers are worth every penny . . . the
food is OK, priced only slightly more than it's
worth. |
