Food Review: |
I had the Tonga Toast, which is a thick
piece of French Toast stuffed with bananas, crusted with cinnamon
sugar, and served with an individual pitcher of syrup. Quite a
treat! My husband had a shrimp omelet with bacon that he thought
very good, too. We shared a Kona Delight, which is a plate with
melon slices topped with yogurt, granola and a drizzle of
honey--delicious. His favorite part of this breakfast was an
individual pot of 100% Kona Coffee (he is a real coffee fiend). I
was satisfied with the Kona Blend Decaf. |
Service Review: |
The restaurant was not busy on that
Monday morning, and our server was friendly and helpful. |
Atmosphere Review: |
The Kona Cafe is beautifully decorated,
especially considering it is a more casual eatery. Everything looked
organic, from the carpeting, which was swirled to resemble sand, to
the lamps which looked like Tiki torches, and overhead lights which
looked like Chinese lantern plants. Dividers looked like tangled
vines. And don't miss the two chocolate sculptures on display: a
white chocolate horse and a dark chocolate dragon. A server told me
that the dragon took the chef six months to complete, and it is
indeed quite a work of art. |

This was our last "taste" of Disney magic
before heading home, and it was a memorable
one. | | | |
