Brian's Review
This is one of the most enjoyable restaurants at WDW. The food is very, very good and
the service is among the best we've had at a WDW restaurant. Make sure to leave more room
for the grapefruit cake. It is excellent! The Cobb salad is great too.
It's listed
as an appetizer, but I've had it as my lunch main course, too (and ended up being
stuffed). During the course of your meal, you might get a phone call from your
"agent". I won't ruin the surprise for you. Just enjoy it if they bring over
the phone. (Notice that only certain tables are equipped for the phone call, so
don't hype up your kids about this...because it might not happen -- you might consider
requesting a phone table, though).
The decor of the place is strongly 1920's and 30's art deco. Caricatures of Hollywood
stars from over the years decorate the walls in neat, even rows. We had a
lot of fun trying
to recognize the stars without looking at their names first. We were wrong more often than
not, but we still had fun trying. The tables are arranged in a series of tiers
around a central, sunken floor. A piano rests in the center and is the focal point for the
frequent visits of "Hollywood streetmosphere" characters.

Eclectic, but good. The Cobb

fantastic! |

Comments
The bakery on Main Street at the Magic Kingdom, the
Fountainview Cafe' in Future World, and the various bakeries in World
Showcase blow this place out of the water! Unfortunately, those
places aren't at the studios. So if you want a quick continental
breakfast or a late morning snack, you're stuck here (but I'd suggest
you wait until later in the morning and buy popcorn from a street cart
or get an ice cream at Min & Bill's or Dinosaur
Gertie's instead).
