The First 50 Magical Years

Created for the Disneyland's 50th Anniversary celebration this exhibit and movie temporarily replaces The Walt Disney Story featuring Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. The exhibit space is filled with models, artwork, photos, and videos displaying the 50 year history of Disneyland. Inside the theater a movie hosted by actor Steve Martin and Donald Duck visually covers some of the same ground including video of Walt Disney and the opening of Disneyland in 1955.

  • Ride Access: The lobby is fully accessible and cast members are always near the entrance and can help bypass the turnstyle if necessary. The theater has designated spaces at the end of some rows for wheelchairs and ECVs, speak to a cast member for directions on which door to use.
  • Wheelchair Transfer: Not necessary.
  • Service Animals: Service animals are allowed in both the lobby.
  • Audio: Assistive listening devices are available from City Hall and reflective captioning devices are available from attraction cast members.
