• At this location: From the park opening in 1955 until 1997, this location was the Carnation Ice Cream Parlor, an old fashioned ice cream parlor where both meals and ice cream were served. In 1997, the ice cream portion of the restaurant was closed, the restauarant was renamed just Carnation Cafe, and the restaurant was limited to what had been the outdoor patio of the old restaurant. At that time, Blue Ribbon Bakery moved from it's prior location.
• This restaurant's history: Blue Ribbon Bakery opened in 1990 as a replacement for Sunkist Citrus House. At that time it was actually one door down from where it is now. In 1997, Blue Ribbon Bakery moved into its current location when Carnation Ice Cream Parlor Closed and the new Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor opened where Blue Ribbon Bakery had been.
