King Triton's Carousel

Unlike your traditional carousel, King Triton's Carousel does not have any horses for riding; unless you count the seahorse. Instead, more than 50 underwater creatures are used to fill out this ride. After you've taken your spins, don't forget to pause and look more closing at the carousel itself. Inside panels depict scenes from The Little Mermaid while along the outer shell are plaques commemmorating sixteen of the seaside boardwalk amusement parks after which Paradise Pier is themed.

  • Open/Close: Opens and closes shortly before the night's final performance of World of Color. The ride does close during earlier performances as well but reopens briefly between shows.

Access Information - Hide Section
  • Health Restriction: None
  • Ride Access: Do not use the standard queue (though it is wheelchair accessible). Find the marked gate near the ride operator for a separate entrance to the ride.
  • Wheelchair Transfer: The carousel is wheelchair accessible (ECV users will need to transfer to a standard wheelchair) and has a separate ramp allowing access. To ride one of the creatures on the carousel will require transferring.
  • Service Animals: Yes
  • Audio: Music plays during the ride.
  • Weight and Size Issues: Though the ride may be uncomfortable, the sea creatures should be able to support almost any guest weight. There is also one bench of seating for guests who prefer not to ride a sea creature.
