El Rio del Tiempo, or The River of Time, is a water ride along the lines of "it's a small world." Passengers will float past video and animatronic scenes from Mexico's history, starting the anceient civiliations (Maya, Aztec, Tolmec), into colonial times, and ending with "modern" views of Mexico and a recreation of Reforma Boulevard in Mexico City. Several elements of modern parts of the show are well out of date and the ride has a fair number of detractors.
