Animal Kingdom Villas

Animal Kingdom Villas is a Disney Vacation Club annex to Animal Kingdom Lodge and shares the same facilities and activities while offering some new ones just for DVC members. The Villas are a resort in two parts, the top two floors of Jambo House, the main Animal Kingdom Lodge building are entirely dedicated to the Villas (the rooms were converted from standard hotel rooms to the larger suites required of a DVC resort. In a separate building is Kidani Village, an entirely DVC structure built from scratch.

  • Pools and swimming: The Uzima Pool at Jambo House is 11,000 square feet and features a children's area, a water slide, two Jacuzzis and a sloped entry at one end. The pool is open 24 hours, though lifeguards are unavailable at 10 p.m. The Samawati Springs Pool in Kidani Village is for the exclusive use of Villas guests and is 4,300 square feet, water slide, two hot tubs, and a children's pool.
  • Gym and Exercise: The Zahanati Fitness Center in Jambo House is open from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. In Kidani Village the Survival of the Fittest Fitness Center is available exclusively to Villas guests.

  • Owner's Locker

  • Bus: No dedicated shuttle is provided between Jambo House and Kidani Village. Each has a dedicated stop for the regular Disney World buses connecting to all theme parks and Downtown Disney. From Jambo House, catching any theme park bus will stop next at Kidani Village. From Kidani Village taking a Downtown Disney bus will next stop at Jambo House.

  • Sanaa— Table service dining at the Kidani Village annex serves lunch and dinner, featuring flavors of the historical spice route of the 1400s through Africa, India, China and Europe.
  • Other dining — Mara is the resorts self-service fast food counter with decent sandwich, salad, and burger options. Uzima Springs is a poolside bar that also offers some light snacks. Victoria Falls Lounge is a bar located on the mezzanine above Boma and Jiko.
Entertainment and Shows - Hide Section
  • Community Hall — A game room (foosball, ping pong, TV, arts and crafts) for children at Kidani Village. Followed by dinner at Jiko. Available only to concierge-level guests and only by reservation. Available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; $150/person.
  • Mnyama (Sunset) Safari — A 90-minute van tour of the lodge's savannah areas, allowing close up views of the animals as well as backstage access to the animal care areas. Followed by dinner at Jiko. Available only to concierge-level guests and only by reservation. Available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; $150/person.
  • Night viewing — On most nights a cast member can be found at Arusha Rock (Jambo House) with a low-light viewing scope to allow viewing of nocturnal animals. Check posted schedules.
  • Pumbaa's Arcade — A video game arcade near the pool at Jambo House.
  • Savannah Trails — Trails for all three savannah areas are open to everybody.
  • Simba's Clubhouse — An evening (4:30-midnight) activity center for children 4-12 and requires reservations.
  • Safari So Good Arcade — A video game arcade at Kidani Village.
  • Sports Courts — Basketball, tennis, and shuffleboard courts can be found at Kidani Village.
  • Storytelling — Storytelling, for both adults and children, happens every night at the Arusha Rock fire pit. Check posted schedules.
  • Sunrise Safari Breakfast Adventure — A 45-minute early morning tour of safari area at the Animal Kingdom park followed by breakfast at Tusker House. Available only to concierge-level guests, reservations required. Availalbe Sundays and Thursdays; $39.95/person.
  • Uwanja Camp — A children's playground themed to a wildlife observation center, adjacent to the Samawati Springs pool at Kidani Village.
