Downtown Disney

Opened in 2000 as part of the Disney's California Adventure resort expansion, Downtown Disney is essentially an outdoor mall. Unlike the most of the stores at the parks and hotels, Downtown Disney's shops and restaurants are mostly independently operated.

    • Catal— Fine Mediterranean dining.
    • ESPN Zone— Sports-themed dining with two dining rooms: a more restrained dining room with plenty of televisions or a more active sports bar with a heck of a lot of televisions.
    • House of Blues— Southern cooking with a musical background.
    • La Brea Bakery Cafe— Fancy soups, salads, and sandwiches.
    • Naples Ristorante e Pizzeria— Italian food and pizzas from the Naples region of Italy.
    • Napolini— Counter service Italian dishes and pizzas.
    • Rainforest Cafe— Just about anything you could want, in an extensively themed environment.
    • Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen— Try the famous dishes of New Orleans.

    • ESPN Zone Store— ESPN gear of all kinds.
    • Fossil— Watches and accessories.
    • House of Blues Company Store— House of Blues merchandise, music, and souvenirs from the groups who perform there.
    • Little Miss Matched— Who says your socks have to match, this specialty store sells umatched socks in sets of three.
    • Marceline's Confectionery— A Disney-run candy store. Strawberries and marshmallows are hand-dipped on site and other items are available.
    • QuikSilver— Beach-appropriate active wear from QuikSilver, Billabong, and other labels.
    • Rainforest Cafe Store— Restaurant themed merchandise and eclectic toys.
    • Sephora— A make-up megastore with just about anything you could want, including makeovers.
    • Something Silver— Handmade silver artworks.
    • Studio Disney 365— Get a makeover inspired by the stars of the Disney Channel (though not made into an impersonation).
    • Sunglass Icon— Large collection of designer sunglasses.
    • The LEGO Imagination Center— Just about anything you could want from LEGO. Consider walking through just to take in some of the large LEGO sculptures.
    • Travelex— Currency exchange services.
    • Walt Disney Travel Co.— Book future trips or deal with issues with your current one.
    • World of Disney— The largest Disney store west of Walt Disney World has just about every imaginable Disney item available.
