Since it is the Japan Pavilion's destination for sushi, it is unfortunate that Matsu-no-ma doesn't actually contain a sushi bar where you could watch your order being prepared. Above the Misukoshi Department Store, Matsu-no-ma Lounge overlooks the lagoon and provides a great view along with a relaxing environment.
The sushi menu here is not the most expansive, but all of the standards are included, which should be more than enough for people just introducing themselves to sushi. If you're put off by the thought of raw fish, keep in mind that sushi simply means rice, and does not necessarily include raw fish. Though most options do have raw fish, there are several vegetable and cooked selections. Since this is a lounge, a wide selection of Japanese beers, sake, and wines are available.
